Wine has always been a pivotal part of daily life. It couldn’t have been any other way, as all of our family grew up amongst vineyards and wineries in the region of Champagne. Making wine in the heart of the Montagne de Reims for decades has its advantages, and one of them is being able to enjoy the fruits of our labour. Every Sunday, like a ritual, friends and colleagues will gather for a hearty lunch from the vines, sharing conversation, stories and jokes, with a glass of wine in hand (mais oui!)

Here at My Fine Cellar, we want to bring this conviviality to you, straight from the vineyards. After all, it is typical for wine enthusiasts in France to buy directly from producers, supporting grape growers that are local to a region. But this culture doesn’t yet translate to the the UK, with supermarkets and merchants dominating the way wine is purchased. It can be a daunting market to enter, with so many bottles to choose from and little idea of whether a wine will suit your palate. There is always a fear that the bottle you choose will be underwhelming, or not pair with the meal you want to enjoy at the weekend with your loved ones.

My Fine Cellar aims to eliminate these concerns by selecting only wines that we discover and taste on your behalf, from boutique producers that are rarely found elsewhere. It is usually through our family connections or a friend of a friend that we find these artisan producers. Typically, during one of our hedonisitic lunches, we hear fervent exclamations of “have you tried this yet?” and “I can’t believe I haven’t tried this” to “where can I get a bottle?” then “scrap just one bottle, make it a case!”
