‘A deep and dark red from Provence, with notes of cassis and cedar.’
A pronounced nose of cassis, blueberry and dark cherry interlace with garrigue, cedar and leather. The palate continues to impress, with intense concentration of flavour, encased by structured tannins and juicy acidity. Full bodied and weighted, this is a wonderful red expression from Provence.
This wine is incredibly concentrated and therefore really needs a succulent dish to cut through the tannins.
Pair with mushroom and sage ravioli or beef bourguignon for a decadent gastronomic experience.
Located in South-Eastern France, the region of Provence stretches from the Italian border to the bottom of the Southern Rhone. Although production of white and red wine is possible here, the area is famed for Rosé, with the best examples coming from the prestigious Cote de Provence appellation. These wines are renowned for their crisp style, soft strawberry and raspberry flavours and iconic pale pink appearance. Despite their delicacy in flavour, these rosé wines are very versatile and can traverse lunch time aperitifs with tapenade canapés to heavier meat dishes as part of a summer barbecue.
